PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE OF OCTOBER 08, 2005

A devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.6 on Richter scale occurred on October 8, 2005 in Pakistan. The earthquake was felt widely over a major part of the Northern India and also caused damage to the property and life in some parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The earthquake was followed by several aftershocks of moderate magnitude.
