Hydromet Division of IMD has prepared an Atlas of Statewise Generalised Isopluvial (Return Period ) maps of all states of India. It is published in four parts and contains the isopluvial maps for 2 year, 5 year, 10 year, 25 year, 50 year and 100 year- 24 hour duration for each state. The four parts are:-
- Atlas of Statewise Generalised Isopluvial (Return Period ) maps of Southern Peninsula, Part-I. Price Rs. 2200/-.

Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
- Atlas of Statewise Generalised Isopluvial(Return Period) maps of Eastern India, Part-II. Price Rs. 1800/-.
States Included:-
- W. Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand and North-Eastern states.
- Atlas of Statewise Generalised Isopluvial(Return Period) maps of Central India, Part-III. Price Rs. 2350/-.

- Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat and Orissa.
- Atlas of Statewise Generalised Isopluvial (Return Period) maps of Northern India, Part-IV. Price Rs. 2200/-.

-Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi and Rajasthan.
Utility:- These atlases will be useful for design engineers engaged in construction of small and medium hydraulic structures, like, rail/Road bridges, culverts, irrigation and storm water drainage system etc. and also for providing preliminary estimates for large hydraulic structures.
